The Newest Multifamily Must-Have: Healthy Living

A luxury multifamily tower being planned in Miami will soon open its doors to highend customers dedicated to healthy, toxin-free living. The 100-unit Elysee Miami condominium community will be the first multifamily residential development in the city to provide residents with a range of benefits designed to benefit their health, according to a press release. The 57-story tower in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood will incorporate healthful indoor features in both the residences and the common areas, including the lobby, health club and activity floor, and the 30th-floor sky lounge. Features include water filtration, air purification, aromatherapy, aromatherapeutic shower systems, low-VOC paint, and LED circadian lighting. The units—with only two per floor—range from three to five bedrooms and include den options, high ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling glass windows. Each residence includes two private terraces boasting unobstructed views of Biscayne Bay, Miami Beach, and downtown Miami. Prices range from just below $1.4 million to $14 million, with sizes spanning 2,300 square feet to 11,000 square feet. The average price per square foot is $775, according to this article from The Real Deal. West Palm Beach, Fla.–based Two Roads Development has selected Miami-based Wellness Habitat Co. to provide the health-enhancing features. “We spend billions of dollars annually worldwide on products and services to improve our health, stay fit, and prevent illness, yet after going to a spa or picking up an organic juice, we spend 90% of our time in our own homes, where elements from floor to ceiling can have adverse effects on [our] mental and physical well-being,” says Robert Thorne, CEO of Wellness. “We applaud the development team at Elysee for their visionary step in ensuring that residents will benefit from a healthy home that negates and reverses the effects of pollution, toxins, and fatigue.”
